middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Only my frequent use of twitter especially following trends allowed me to understand #trumpcup. It contrasts with the Starbucks 2015 holiday cup war that was lost on me. Dear kind readers: If you for a moment thought the 2015 Starbucks holiday cup was newsworthy at a level equal to the #trumpcup of 2016, then please consider without twitter neither story was newsworthy. Sincerely, Tom Doody. Some social-media trends splash into the traditional media leaving readers and viewers confused as I was for the 2015 holiday cup, but not for the 2016 #trumpcup. The #trumpcup was politically inspired, and because of Trump, Hillary, and Bernie I had developed the ability to visually scan a list of fresh trending tweets and say with relative confidence if any of the tweeters were feeling the Bern or if anyone was a gun nut. With this skill developed #trumpcup hit, and it became immediately clear the gun nuts were making the trend trend worthy. Google maps says, “Starbucks iconic coffee house”, and as seen from a politically conservative 2A gun-nut perspective it should say, “comfy coffee house for liberals”, which is why conservatives attack Starbucks. My politically conservative gun-nut cousin, Brian, thought Hana and I were wasting time in his local cafes during our extended stay in San Diego — NBD — but it is mention worthy, because it was odd that he talk about our inefficient use of time when we were on vacation, and I’ve come to believe some of his sentiment can be traced to how "comfy” coffee houses are not “comfy” for conservatives. My morning was at PABT, which earns the name homeless dormitory, and now up upscale uptown UES NYC yet the man next to me is sound asleep with his head on his table. The sleeper must be liberal, because a gun nut would never be comfortable enough to sleep in this iconic liberal coffee house. »» about me 302-990-2346 nearlincoln@hotmail.com contact us
