ubuntu short-term surrender

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Dear kind ebay seller gadget1999: After four hours trying to install the free software I bought from you I am surrendering short term. Most of my time was spent reading Toshiba support and trying every version of esc, F2, and F12, then by chance I found, “advance startup” under Windows 8 recovery. It allowed me to see the ubuntu chip at startup, and I tried both choices: ONE: ubuntu without installing TWO: ubuntu install. Each choice returned me to the Windows 8 startup as if the ubuntu USB choices had not happened. I like the option of buying the USB chip from you with ubuntu, because I have the sense I got a working usb chip as a byproduct, but I wish my first purpose in buying the chip could be achieved. I still want to try ubuntu, but I don’t have the ability to accomplish this on my own. Can you help? Sincerely, Tom Doody »» about me 201-490-9659 twitter nearlincoln@hotmail.com contact us
