Mumbai professor

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Prompted by a Ram post on facebook I listened to thirteen minutes of Khurshed Batliwala, Ruia College, Mumbai – cool guy, and thirteen minutes makes me glad he chose to be an educator.  He claims the British broke the culture of India, but I would say the British tried to break the culture of India.  Indians in American can trace their immigration through a series of counties during Europe’s Imperialism, and these people are still distinguished in appearance, food, language, and many of them still consider themselves Indian even though four of five generations must be traced before finding an Indian birth.  If culture survives for these people it points to the enduring strength of Indian culture.  I know this first hand – the British were not successful in their bid to destroy Indian culture.  The round-world flat-world part was funny, and I don’t know the Indian words, but I still got the punch line.  Most Americans believe basketball was an American invention, which is only partly correct, and most Westerners believe Freud discovered the subconscious, but the Chinese knew of it long before.  This is the first I knew of anyone being ahead of Nicolaus Copernicus, and I am prepared to accept the Mumbai educators presentation as truth.  We are talking about science and historic facts, and truth must prevail – bravo Professor Khurshed Batliwala. »» about me 201-490-9659 Erika mortified contact us
