NYC invitation

dear Mike: . . . this is an invitation for an overnight stay in my apartment . . eye have quick 3.50 USD frequent buses to NYC . . so in effect this is an invitation 2 stay in the NYC metro 4 free . . eye shud not have 2 sweeten the deal . . but my accomodations r not gr8 . . my guest wud sleep on a folding cot in my common space of a 2 bedroom apartment . . eye’ll sleep in my room and my tenant in the other bedroom . . my wife, Hana, in Japan . . if u consider my invitation 4 a minute or . . x tend 2 a friend or family wife’s friend or family . . ur rolodex will probably b black ppl and the idea that they’ll b guest of 1 of ur middle-age white prep school amigos is . . a stretch . . now u know why eye have 2 say more . . eye do not have a structured schedule . . eye’ll b home . . o in the barrio . . so the guest will not have a key . . my guest will b introduced to my tenant via txt photo passed thru my wife . . my tenant is an immigrant fr Perú . . she’s been in the country long enough 2 speak English but nvr uses it . . iow she’ll b another human sharing r common space but she moves around like a mouse trying 2 hide from humans . . there is no social obligation w r tennant not even a greeting . or introduction . . my tenant only needs 2 recognize my guest and a pic by txt is enough . . this woman is r 2nd tennant and she’s been w us 4 abt 2 yrs . . ¿Social? eye’m mostly occupied and not seeking company . . there will b tourist guide-like assistance fr me but no social obligation w me . . my guide-like assistance might help w things like bus ¿159? or ¿156? . . Mike: eye’ve seen 2 many airbnb nightmares 4 black ppl so eye have 2 mention race . . black ppl r in my barrio in notable numbers tho a minority . . but pero but . . . black ppl who don’t speak Spanish r a near non-x istent minority like me . . a white person who does not speak Spanish . . . . eye’m called . . . not in my presence . . . “gringo alto” or tall gringo, which is sufficiently precise and barrio residents talking know x actly it’s me w no additional description . . after race comes gender and sexual orientation . . . . my wife is in Japan and she’ll know eye have a guest . . and that person should not b such 4 others 2 think eye’m in the green zone . . iow eye shud not b seen as a sexual prospect . . eye c the way young black women interact w me . . and it’s nvr . . . okay almost nvr . . . there’s a hint that eye’m a sexual prospect so young black woman okay . . lesbian okay men including gay men okay . . Mike pos supuesto this invitation x tends 2 u . . yet what eye saw of ur life is up-market suburban living of a married man and successful multi-decade professional . . . father . . husband . . . . w active x tended family life . . u don’t match the profile of some1 seeking a free night or nights stay in NYC w rustic accommodations . . yet . . plz know sincerely u r invited . . ur amigo Tom Doody middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel
