The time I’ve spend with explainers has been revealing of the subtle yet central feature of inflexible class structure that separates and keeps separate rich and poor. My highlight not named by the explainers is how the plot differentiates Parasite from other dramas of movie and TV. It’s most common for a drama to have a central social unit ie Cheers, Star Trek, Scar Face, but Parasite has two distinct social units being the two families.
