Trump didn’t pardon Rod, he commuted his sentence. Not that I approve of the action but there is a difference. Rod is still guilty of felonious acts and still has a criminal record. If you’re offering an opinion on a subject (especially when you call others who disagree with you stupid), you yourself should be more accurate about the subject of which you are writing. We all have our own opinions and perspectives and that’s a good thing. That is what makes the world a better place. A triggered emotional response to any subject is just a rant, not an offering to a forum for real discussion. Regarding the singularity of the subject being directed at Trump (still not defending his action – with which I do not agree), many other past presidents have commuted federal prisoner sentences, some actions worthy & others not so much.

True enough and by all means this is your platform to speak your mind, which I respect. I would just like to see people move more towards the ability to discuss issues of the day in a more solution oriented manner and less inflammatory. (I now understand your intent better after your response.) In a day and age when the media cannot be trusted for fact based reporting, people seemingly do not embrace old fashion research (reading up on both sides and finding the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle). Social media in many cases often provides the lazy way out with partakers generally finding something that reenforces their personal views and instantly makes them feel good. What we truly need is more research and less instant emotion reaction. Hopefully more people will begin to embrace this old school approach and engage in real less divisive discussion going forward. The future could be be bright, if we just allow it to be.
