Microsoft-approved privacy policy

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« In recent days I posted: “privacy policy” with my text intended to satisfy Microsoft Advertising requirements. Dear kind readers who would like more about why Microsoft has any interest in my privacy policy: Scammers use tricks on websites to collect info from website visitors. In addition scammers misuse the data they collect, so what seems like an innocent webform giving name, phone, and email can be misused by scammers to sell and resell website-visitor’s contact info. Microsoft cares when their services are used to promote a website, so Microsoft requires Microsoft advertising to review and approve a website privacy policy. Sincerely, Tom Doody. This is where it gets personal. I wrote the corporate boring text, and made it a little fresher with a quote from Scarface Tony Montana. During the delay for Microsoft to approve I suffered mild stress and anxiety about how my splash of creative writing would get my privacy policy rejected, but it didn’t. Microsoft approved my privacy policy, and I’m relieved. If it had been rejected I would have been faced with the reality of my fall from grace in my corporate life. I ascended quickly as a corporate food scientist, and crashed near the age of forty, and in a sense I forced myself to fit into corporate, but every now and then I put a little too much creativity into my work. A Microsoft rejection would have forced me to relive some of my food science career-ending trauma, so APPROVED from Microsoft felt great. Dear kind readers You have my permission to use my privacy policy as your own. Sincerely, Tom Doody »» about me 302-990-2346 contact
