middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« The sibling trio: Bill, Marylou, and Helene are dead. Bill 1927 – 1994 was my dad. The trio each married only once, and did the traditional death do us part, and they produced a total of fourteen kids, and I’m the baby. Not just the youngest — I’m the baby. With one of us suffering a life-changing progressive medical it would be impossible to imagine the other thirteen electing me to write her a simple card. It’s not a Hallmark moment, and “get well” is not on the horizon. Ironically among the fourteen of us I’d be the last chosen to do something when the degree of difficulty is this high, but among the general population I would make several cuts before the, “right” person was chosen.
