Der Spiegel

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Claas Relotius visited Fergus Falls Minnesota as a professional journalist. Claas is German from Germany and was working on behalf of Der Spiegel. Fergus Falls is near Fargo Minnesota, which was featured in a flattering way in the movie Fargo. The movie was award winning, and generally loved by people who know the rural cold dark farm country of the area. Frances McDormand made herself a star with Fargo, and she did it again in Three Billboards. Frances is a talented pro, and she brought Fargo Minnesota to life in a way that fits the town of Fergus Falls, probably. The people of Fergus Falls got trashed by the international media giant Der Spiegel, and the professional who dissed them got awards for doing it. It’s injustice; it’s bull shit. The tactics showcased the worst of what can happen when fraudsters masquerade as competent media professionals, and cleverly knit together a web of lies that audiences are hungry to believe. I have fond memories of my years in Minnesota, the darkness, the cold, and the people. The people deserved better, and Der Spiegel and all those who applauded the fraudster have no excuse (CNN included). At the moment I have a dispute with a man in Florida who says I did not ship his phone, and fact checking me is difficult, but a mass web of lies including many quotes from fictional characters reported as factual references are easy to fact check. »» about me 302-990-2346 contact us
