middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Elliot Weisman published a fresh book about Frank Sinatra that had to be motivated by: “Can’t die before I write about Frank”. Elliot spent decades with Frank, and Elliot probably never forced himself to keep Frank moments out of the news, because for Elliot keeping private things private was natural. This aforementioned text points to the idea: “I can finally talk shit about Frank”, but the reverse is true. Elliot includes unflattering moments of Frank’s and disappoints, but Elliot is gentle with overriding sentiment of reverence for the star. Hana and I are reading one chapter at a time, and last night — Frank did not like, “strangers in the night”, and rarely performed it live. Frank loved, “did it my way”. This factoid is especially fun for me, because my dad who committed few things to memory sang, “scooby dooby doo” in the Melody of Frank’s: “strangers in the night”. It was easy for my dad to remember, and silly like “o blah dee o blah dah” from the Beatles. It’s understandable for musical artists to avoid these silly phrases knowing the song writer filled in noises when words didn’t fit, and then — curse — the fans love it. The love affair of Bill and Martha and Tom and Helen will always be accented by Frank Sinatra, and I’m enjoying Elliot’s book chapter by chapter. Gracias a dios Elliot’s publish date precede his death certificate. »» about me 302-990-2346 contact us
