middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Two related vids google-chanced their way into my feed: ONE: an MIT researcher on voice analysis TED Talk TWO: TED talk lie spotters. Google saw how the subjects are related even though both are not about lying. It prompted my to ask Hana’s brother to name famous American liers, and I won’t post his list, but the conversation pointed me to: Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon, Dick Cheney, Lance Armstrong, Bernie Madoff, and OJ. A documentary of Lance Armstrong enshrined him in my book as the best American liar, because he was convincing rather than fidgety and sweaty like Richard Nixon. The TED presenter also introduced, “dupers delight” when the liar can’t restrain joy the moment of confirmation that lie was accepted as truth.
