middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« In ‘61 ‘64 ‘83 and ‘96 are four Hollywood movies with an element of their theme that is also written in a new non-fiction book by Elliot Weissman. The movies stars are: Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Eddie Murphy, and Robin Williams. With these four productions Hollywood returns, at a very minimum four times, to comical situations of people adjusting their status for an event. Perhaps the biggest reach was the exaggerated gay housekeeper in The Birdcage attempting to be a straight man serving dinner. Elliot Weisman writes non fiction including Jackie O. after she survived husband one and husband two. The dinner also included the writer, a Jewish finance man, Frank Sinatra, and Frank’s cast of Italian Americans. The punchline of Elliot’s story is told in his fresh book, and I posted the text in a screen capture of the ebook here. The theme of some element of a person being out of sync with one’s surroundings will always seem fresh, because anxiety triggers in everyone’s not-worthy-of-publishing and not-worthy-of-the-big-screen themed moments when we feel out of sync with our surroundings. My most recent event is Martha90 with my youtube series telling fresh versions of moments before and after. Ironically my anxiety about being out of sync with my surroundings was linked to a family event, and in the first of my Martha90 series I tell with tear-filled eyes of an event that seemed, at that moment, independent of Martha90. Later the link between all the Martha90 moments became clear to me, so I named the series Martha90. I have reason to believe, and a blog commenter, Erika, to reinforce that my blogging extended my separation from family. This same habit that may be partially to blame for my isolation extension is also to credit for me returning on solid footing. Martha90one is me expressing surprising emotion in the common space of my apartment building. Retrospectively having my emotion pour out in my building’s common space put me on solid footing for Martha90. Life is emotional, and I can’t predict how, when, and where my emotion will flow, but Martha90 is an example of my effort to manipulate my emotion in a safe and productive manner. Billy Ray Valentine would be proud of me. »» about me 302-990-2346 contact us
