Roger ¿Wow? what abt ¿Jimmy?

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Inspired by Roger Federer’s Australian open win today . . . wow 36 years old . . . got emphasized. ¿Really? is that ¿Awesome? Am I to believe 36 is really that awesome. Federer does not seem old to me, and his run of achievements never seemed to beak. For comparison I returned to Jimmy Connors memorable comeback in NYC wondering how old he was. Dear kind readers: Jimmy did not win the tournament, but his series of games advancing him to the semifinals was incredible. Please I’m begging; I’ll do anything, por favor give a few minutes to Jimmy connors US open comeback. Sincerely, Tom Doody. I was a father of young children, and married to my first wife, a marriage that was progressing toward ending hastily in divorce or death . . . my near death almost killed the marriage, but we had to rely on the court of the great state of New Jersey to end the marriage rather than God. In short I was distracted. Not paying close attention to the news, and paying even less attention to sports, but Jimmy’s comeback was a breath of fresh air blowing into my life, and much later I learned Jimmy captured the Nation’s attention with a shout: “Don’t miss this”. Jimmy performed at his best, and the crowds loved it. He celebrated with theatrics typical of his many great moments of his career . . . yet . . . even better. Jimmy loved to win, and never showed mercy for his opponents. On his thirty-ninth birthday he handed his opponent his own ass, and gave the Nation a gift. Federer will probably be playing at champion level three years from now, and a win that could be compared to Jimmy’s will pale in comparison. »» about me 302-990-2346 contact us
