Uber knows

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Dear kind person at Uber: I had a bike assignment that required cancellation, because it could not be complete on a bicycle. The car route was two miles and the bike route was fourteen miles. The time of a fourteen mile bike ride is more time than the customer was willing to wait. I was compensated, and the cancellation is not on my record . . . grazie to Uber. What remains is this email sent from uber to me on the occasion of the cancelled trip. Your company is awesome, and it has grown so quickly, but this email is an example of the arrogance of companies that retrospectively proves to be the reason another company is leading. Whoever wrote this text said to me I should do something he or she did not take the time to do. He or she said I should choose, “bike” and be routed properly. He or she assumed I did not know of the bike-route feature. He or she assumed educating me was the solution. He or she is wrong. I know how to route myself properly on a bike. A more effective solution will come with Uber looking deeper into what causes systematic arrogance from the former CEO to this memo. He or she should look at Uber first. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely, Tom Doody »» about me 302-990-2346 contact us
