only alzheimers or death

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Potus and Flotus arrive in Israel, and as they walk from the plane Donald reaches for Melania’s hand and she is not receptive. Dear kind readers: “Not receptive” is gentle. If I were more descriptive it would seem exaggerated. Please consider my advice and find and watch the vid . . . better . . . a slow-mo version. Sincerely, Tom Doody. It’s a celebrity romance moment nearly as good at Gavin’s hand on the nanny’s ass caught by paparazzi. The Paparazzi-Gavin’s-hand moment revealed an affair that contributed to the end of his marriage to Sefani, but most celebrity watchers get rare validation of their broad conclusions based on fleeting moments. What’s happening in the First Couple relationship is not my subject. My subject is instead how I’m drawn to the very-flawed pastime of speculating about the authenticity of romance. The first two marriages that revealed themselves to me in intimate ways were two of my sisters. One marriage I thought was a model, and time proved me wrong. The other marriage was unattractive yet it has endured. Though my late father died without the broadly-used label of, “alcoholic” there is reason to use the label, and my sister would fit the mold of the sibling who, “kept things together”, and a product of her manner is the unity her family celebrated in a country-club wedding. That wedding would make any websurfer feel, “that looks nice”. The third relationship is my first marriage that sincerely fooled a number of people as being good during a phase when, “good” was a distant memory. Celebrity romance watching and non-celebrity romance watching are common pastimes in people’s lives. Dear kind readers: If you think you’re good at predicting the authenticity of a relationship you probably are. You might be the one who notices a woman’s bruise, and you might be the one to prevent her wife-beating husband from murdering her — brava bravo. Your skill in predicting romantic authenticity might also brand you as, “nosey”. Sincerely, Tom Doody. It’s human nature to be curious, and it’s an especially effective and dangerous method to distract us from our own troubles with romance. It’s too late for me to overlook the Melania-Donald-Israel-hand-denial moment. The slow-mo version burned the moment into my memory, and only alzheimers or death will allow me to forget it. »» nearlincoln contact us
