middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« I paid as high as seven dollars for espresso in NYC, which is even expensive for Manhattan. My ATM is on the next block, so I stopped in this Colombian cafe with no bills and uncounted change in my pocket. The quick touch of my coins says I won’t have to beg for liberation, so I can return with money. Being cheap and not wanting to pay seven USD for espresso is natural, but it’s not the whole story. A business that charges seven for espresso is saying with numbers, “We don’t want freeloaders”. No one should feel welcome having a daily seven-dollar espresso including a stay totalling a noteworthy portion of an hour. In contrast I feel welcome and not rushed here.
