Hotline and birthdays

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« I got an additional favorable response to my 2018 birthday social-media bar crawl today. Hotline is a recently advertised hookup site that requires first contact to be a phone call. As a married man I, por supuesto, deny knowing any details of the site, and only comment on the phone-call-first concept. As I see it the site concept is saying the goal is for these people to engage in a traditional relationships that involves talking and fucking, so let’s force them to start by talking. The concept seems to be saying: “users don’t waste your time with people who won’t transition from epokes, mentions, and messages, on Hotline you’re required to talk as a prerequisite to anything else”. I see the concept as another example of attempts to customize online experiences so online social is more satisfying. My 2018 birthday social-media bar crawl is another example of trying to customize online birthday greetings into something more traditional, which for me includes phone conversations. The inclusion of phone conversations in my most recent birthday were realized in a way that made the day fun for me. The day felt like an appropriate celebration for a middle-age man who like many middle-age men prefers birthday fuss to be raised one ping above forgotten. Dear kind readers: Y’all are invited to click “interested” or “going”, which puts my event on your facebook events calendar. What’s expected ¿January 1, 2018? A reminder to post, “happy birthday” on my wall, and maybe a little more . . . Sincerely, Tom Doody »» about me 302-990-2346 nearlincoln@hotmail.com contact us
