Michael Moore in Trumpland

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« I prejudge people. When I see a twitter profile with pictures of guns, and #2a I make certain assumptions about the person’s political preferences. The very recent archives of this blog describes my surprise finding people with these political preferences mourning a professor of investigative journalist. The #2a people are likely to support Trump, and Trump is opposed to advancements in investigative journalism. The alignment defies logic, and can only be comprehended with the phrase, “politics makes for strange bedfellows”. The prejudging of people reveals gross flaws, and one must be careful. These #2a people are often middle-age White Americans, and Michael Moore is a middle-age White American, so their politics must match — as Trump would say, “wrong”. For less than five USD and a ten minute download Hana and I watched, “Michael Moore in Trumpland” last night. It is Michael’s attempt to persuade people to vote for Hillary. Michael does the obvious Trump trashing, but limits the time, and does a remarkably good job supporting Hillary. I trust Hana is correct and this phrase came from an audience member though I recall it coming from Michael. Our marital recollections don’t need to match, because by both accounts the phrase is relevant to Michael’s central point: “Hillary is exactly who we claim we want our daughters to be”. »» about me 302-990-2346 nearlincoln@hotmail.com contact us
