everybody wants Christie

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« I had effectively convinced myself the time I might spend on the Bridgegate scandal should be spent someplace else, and today I reverse. Since Christie was not being prosecuted the trial seemed boring, but in the opening days @mattkatz00 explained both side want to fault Christie. In something I read months ago, “¿Wouldn’t it be funny if the woman responsible for Bridgegate had the word, “bridge” in her name?”. This text was part of a hunt for the woman who wrote an anonymous email, and it proved to be Bridget Anne Kelly. The attorneys defending Bridget have reason to blame Christie to lessen the penalty to their client — a twelve year old knows this, “mom told me to”. The irony that @mattkatz00 highlighted is the other side also wants to blame Christie, which @mattkatz00 admits is a little weird. The job of the other side is to prosecute Bridget, and they have a problem for this reason: everybody hates traffic, but the prosecution is charged with convincing the jury that Bridget was motivated to create traffic unnecessarily. ¿Why would Bridget do this? ONE: Bridget is the one person on this earth who loves traffic TWO: Bridget was part of a fucked-up Chris Christie org doing what the boss wanted. The second motive is much more believable, which makes Bridgegate interesting to me again. In total all lawyers on the case for and against Bridget want Christie to fry. »» about me 302-990-2346 nearlincoln@hotmail.com contact us
