¿Justice served?

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« I’m feeling my struggle with how to express my victim-of-assault story has passed.  There is entertainment value in the story, but I could not get to the lighter side knowing my foolishness risked injury or possibly my life if the dog owners had been armed.  The most important thing first: I spared myself by not escalating once the encounter turned violent.  My height and strength allowed me many counters to having myself pinned on the wall with a hand at my throat, but I held rather than countering with more violence.  Perhaps the aforementioned is the only credit I can give myself.  There are three things I did to position myself to be the victim of an assault: ONE: ride on the sidewalk  TWO: flap my mouth and engage in confrontational dialog  THREE: failed to see the squatter encampment as anyone’s home.  These men are claiming the sidewalk between their van/camper and the wall as their private space, and they would not let me pass with a bike, which I saw as bull shit.  Though there are squatter camps I would honor I failed to see this as one of them.  I overlooked their encampment since they are not completely bust evidenced by having enough resources to maintain and move their van when the city dictates.  If it had been like other squatter encampments in NJ and NYC, then I would have seen it for what it was and stayed clear.  The mouth flapping and bike on sidewalk will continue unabated — for now.  Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have higher negative ratings than any frontrunning candidate in the history of such data.  I am aware some of my readers are people I’ve pissed off.  The most recent collection of people to highlight are doormen and door women (though only one door woman to date).  Dear kind people who may have reason to celebrate potentially bad things that happen to me.  I know I’ve leveraged slight advantage in ways to piss people off, and I sincerely think not one of you wants me injured or killed as a testament to fair justice.  I also believe the number of people would have reason to hope my mouth gets me shook up and frighten.  Last night was one of those events.  I got mine.  ¿Justice served?  Sincerely, Tom Doody about me  302-990-2346  twitter  nearlincoln@hotmail.com  contact us
