Pastor Jim

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Pastor Jim Veitch gave a typical hyper-Christian gay-bashing sermon in the name of Jesus, and one of his listeners uploaded it.  The youtube version I found has more than a hundred thousand taps in two months.  What I would like most of all from this youtube event is for, “you sound like Pastor Jim” to mean something in a memorable way.  Por supuesto, a hundred thousand views is not near enough for, “Pastor Jim” to be commonly used in the US.  PSY was halfway to a billion views before everyone knew him.  Maybe if Pastor Jim is found to have sex with sheep or men it might make him famous enough for, “you sound like Pastor Jim” to become a precisely defined insult.  Some thoughts: ONE: the upload opened Pastor Jim to a larger audience, which is good  TWO: Pastor Jim grants himself an undeserved fantasy that gays are in California and not near him THREE: I have reason to believe more than zero men in Pastor Jim’s congregation will discover in the next year people they respect in their local community are gay  FIVE: Pastor Jim tangles criminal pedophilia known to happen in the Boy Scouts with adults having mutually consensual sex  SIX: Pastor Jim should be denied inclusion among political conservatives.  Political conservatives are a necessary force in a functioning democracy whereas Pastor Jim demonstrates social toxin that has no reason to be categorized as a functioning part of any democracy  SEVEN: a person’s sexual orientation does not define him or her as a liberal or conservative  EIGHT: gay marriage creates an option for gays to marry before they reach twenty-five, contribute to conservative politics, live socially conservative lives, and grow old with their spouse including being treated with the respect all people deserve on the occasion of surviving one’s spouse  NINE: grazie to the anonymous sermon uploader »»  about me  302-990-2346  twitter  nearlincoln@hotmail.com  contact us
