keeping it together

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« About a decade and a half ago I had a memorable conversation with a physician, Doug Bower, it was a social setting in the town where my late son, David, is buried, and I was probably drunk, which makes this memory more remarkable.  A woman we both knew who was a post-retirement-age worker at our kid’s school cafeteria claimed her leg was severed in a accident, and reattached.  Doug claimed the story was false, because body parts are so rarely completely separated, even bodies hit by a train keep limbs and torso attached.  In the time since my conversation with Doug he’s proven correct.  Bodies usually remain united even in terrible accidents even if only by thin connective tissue — stop.  150 bodies on the Germanwings flight that was deliberately crashed into the French Alps, and not one body was recovered.  Recovery people have claimed to account for all the dead, without finding a single body — only scattered body parts.  150 bodies all dismembered.  Other than this extraordinary crash Doug’s claim remains valid. »» about me  302-990-2346  twitter  nearlincoln@hotmail.com  contact us
