Nixon and Lance Armstrong

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« The hundred-minute documentary on netflix, “Lance Armstrong stop at nothing” could be titled, “Lance Armstrong inside the mind of a sociopath”.  The personality who is capable of what Lance did is dangerous.  Today Lance is disarmed, but Lance and the impossible-to-count number of people like him represent a danger to society.  These people can murder strangers on a killing spree or as Lance did, murder reputations of people and country viciously without any sense of viciousness.  The documentary has many noteworthy points including three I’ll note on this occasion: ONE: I saw no evidence the documentarian did this deliberately though the timing and presentation sets Lance as comfortably and effectively lying to everyone including Federal agents with guns and badges under oath, but he can’t lie to Oprah.  Oprah and her amigo, Dr. Phil, have taken a place in society of supreme importance, and they (she) had no predecessor to speak of.  Oprah is the wo-man (I’m trying to text a feminine version of a nephew saying, “ur the man”), and  people of the US and the world owe Oprah more than we can ever quantify.  TWO: Lance’s cheating was not limited to his own medical boost, he also corrupted the events with money directly with at least one Panettone box of cash.  THREE: minute by minute natural death reduces the people who ID with Nixon references, and the attrition is replace with people who miss Nixon references, which is sad, because Nixon left a legacy for moments like the Lance documentary.  The Lance-Nixon comparison and contrast as a liar was brilliant, and if Nixon had been more like Lance it would have changed history.  Changed history?  For one we have no reason for a Gerald R Ford presidential museum in Grand Rapids Michigan. »» about me  302-990-2346  twitter  nearlincoln@hotmail.com  contact us
