Spanish the lazy way

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Amigo: igual un placer.  More than a half decade ago in an effort to continue to learn Spanish the lazy way I moved to a barrio with español primera idioma – really Estados Unidos and hearing English spoken between friends or on phones is rare.  Years have passed and my Spanish hovers below my expectations, so my latest still lazy and slightly-more-active method is to record a children’s book in Spanish, and this is where you can help.  I want the book to be a ten minute read commonly read to young children at bedtime.  I thought I could choose the book myself, but I want a classic that remains popular today.  Dr. Seuss would be one of the American author’s I would consider.  All Americans know Dr. Seuss in the same way all Americans know Sesame Street.  My output will be a vid like this one with my voice and pics from the book.  I am not sure what book to choose.  Can you help?  P.S. I am enough of a snob to know I prefer to speak Spanish like your Spanish rather than a mix of Spanish from the Americas like the Spanish spoken in my barrio, so I may also ask you for pronunciation tips later, but for now just help with the book selection is enough. »» about me  201-490-9659  Mom angry  contact us
