middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Dear Sagar: I have been pitching wholesale prices of DHL, Fedex, and UPS to multiservicio (deliberate use of the Spanish word, more later) stores.  These stores provide essential services to Latinos in Latino barrios.  A multi service store always includes: ONE: international phone calls  TWO: money transfers  THREE: notary public FOUR: copies  FIVE: fax, they sometimes offer: SEVEN: travel  EIGHT: tax services NINE: shipping.  If the business has shipping, then they have a scale etc.  If they offer shipping, and don’t already have DHL, Fedex, and UPS, then they are a perfect target for the services of the company I represent.  If the boss works at the location I visit, and I can get his or her attention, then 100% of the time I am advancing toward closing and having the business as my client.  You know the wholesale prices are favorable to retail prices, and the margin allows these multi-services stores to have a good profit margin, and offer a price seen as a discount to their customers – muy bueno.  My face-to-face sales method are limiting, because I have registered or are advancing toward registering all the multiservicio stores near me, so I need to supplement my work with phone calls.  I am not optimistic about registering clients exclusively on the phone, so I am planning to use my mobile office in NYC and invite people into the city from the four boroughs and New Jersey.  Since there are more multi-service stores in the boroughs there is an opportunity for you and your amigos.  We can share the work and share the commission.  A note on my use of multiservicio rather than multi-service.  Even though the word translates easily these types of stores are only in Latino barrios, because . . .
