middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« I got an anonymous notice of the death of Aaron Rovegno yesterday, and I recorded this vid. It’s the first anonymous death notice I’ve received, and I can’t recall anyone else getting death news anonymously. Anonymous Smith as he or she called himself or herself wanted me to know about Aaron’s death. I suspected Anonymous Smith’s email as spam, and I was a heartbeat away from a click that would have made Anonymous Smith’s effort to notify me invalid. If I had deleted the email without understanding what I deleted, then Anonymous Smith would have been faced with reconciling why I did nothing in response to news of Aaron’s death. I did something in response to the news, and like all things in this blog they are primarily generated to serve me, and this event was a service to me, and Anonymous Smith gets an assist. When I tell my teenage son I know about Aaron’s death it’s likely to generate the question, “How does dad know?”, and the version I like even better, “What else does dad know?” I have no ability to understand if Anonymous Smith got what he or she was seeking, but if a sense of having reason to feel generous was part of if, then I can assure this anonymous mailer that notifying me of Aaron’s death was an act of kindness and generosity — grazie Anonymous Smith. »» about me 201-490-9659 Erika mortified nearlincoln@hotmail.com contact us
