Captain America

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« Leaving home about an hour ago with my wife I was carrying a grocery bag filled with light trash to be deposited on our way passed the corner can, and my mobile office in the other hand.  The feather light trash needed to be tied, so we had to stop or one of these two items needed to transfer temporarily to a hand of my wife, and I chose the heavier mobile office while I tied the trash and dropped it in the can.  I made this decision in just a couple of steps, but for a moment I felt as though I was Captain America, and my ego was under attack.  Dear ardent comic book readers: Please forgive me if Captain America was not the best choice here.  Insert a better name and read on – please sincerely, Tom.  I chose the heavier item for my wife, because if we were caught by the paparazzi I would not want to be on the cover of US Magazine with trash in my wife’s hand, and an orange Homer Home Depot bucket in mine.  This is the first time I can remember making a conscience decision as if I were a celebrity, but most of the time I feel as though I am a celebrity.  If I were to become famous, I’d be ready.  Dear kind readers: I am an amateur writer and recreational blogger, and my delusions do not include thinking I am a celebrity, but I can say I am probably more worthy of celebrity-like attention than some of the people who get it.  Three of the biggest names on the internet are Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga, and President Obama.  Each of these three is more worthy of attention than me, but I am more worthy of attention than ________.  I won’t be so bold to ask, but I would like to know if this blank surfaces names.  Sincerely, Tom Doody  »» about me 201-490-9659 Randi Richards nearlincoln@hotmail.com contact us
