Midnight Cowboy

middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel «« I watched Midnight Cowboy recently, and I was not prepared for the decline to homelessness, despair, illness, and death, which is a contrast to the Dustin Hoffman line quoted again and again in my pedicab work, “I’m walkin’ here”.  At that point of the movie it was funny and light, and for me, not expecting the sad decline, it became difficult.  There is an opportunity for people who deny gay marriage to reverse their opinion, because of the nice man from Texas whose decline allows him to abuse gay men.  Abuse, disrespect, or denial of gay rights reflects on who we are as a nation, and I prefer to see my country as the nice Texan man and not the cruel man who allows a gay man to give him oral sex for money, and then steals additional money and abuses the gay man – amen, assalam alaikum, mazel tov. »» about me, 201-490-9659, no bankruptcy, nearlincoln@hotmail.com
