middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel — Dear Greg: My seven-day rental from RR expires today, and I would like to ride this weekend, but I need a couple of days off. Since I press myself into weekly rentals, because I do not like to pay the premium daily rate, I propose the following: I pay RR for seven days starting tomorrow, then take Monday and Tuesday off, and then use the remaining five days of my rental Wednesday through Sunday. I understand a business cannot always accommodate what seems reasonable to a customer, so I assure you manipulating the rental period will not become a pattern.
