middle-age American living in New Jersey near the Lincoln Tunnel — Mayor Bloomberg’s Spanish is mocked, and the mockery made BBC news, which means it’s a laugh at the mayor’s expense heard part way around the world.  It reminds me of how George W. Bush’s speaking was mocked.  Por supusto, the former president was speaking in his first language, and Mayor Bloomberg in his second, but it’s all the same.
